The Position Offers
The Swedish Armed Forces' Technical and Maintenance Office Logistics (TVK Log) is in the midst of an exciting journey where we are set to grow and expand. We are now looking for a Planning Area Leader (POL) for the unit's new staff department. Do you have experience working as a senior controller at a higher organizational level and want to be an important link between operations and finance? Now you have the opportunity to apply for an exciting and developing position!
About the Unit
TVK Log operates at a central level and is an important part of the logistics management within the Swedish Armed Forces. We are responsible for ensuring that logistics materials are available and meet the needs of the units. A key success factor for us in our missions is collaboration and expert competence.
The unit is divided into five departments and currently consists of about 100 employees, mainly civilian staff with an even distribution between women and men. The management is located in Boden, but we have operations in several locations across Sweden.
At the workplace, we actively work for high job satisfaction and a good working environment. We also place great importance on health-promoting measures, and as a defense employee, you have the opportunity to train during working hours for three hours per week. We foster a culture based on community and encourage and enable professional development. We have flexible working hours, which allows for a good balance between work and private life.
Main Responsibilities
Your main tasks will be to coordinate orders, assignments, delivery plans, renegotiations, and follow-up of the production portfolio in collaboration with other roles within the area. You will be responsible for the unit's documentation in the planning work. In collaboration with controllers, you will be responsible for contract arrangements and adjust the redistribution between projects and contracts as needed. If necessary, you will support the practical ordering work. You will participate in and support the follow-up and reporting of internal and external orders and assignments.
The contact points will be many as you will have a coordinating role. You will collaborate with material area teams within the logistics field and be part of a network with POLs in other material areas. Collaboration will also take place with the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration and other external stakeholders.
Your tasks will include developing processes, routines, and methods for planning and ordering work, as well as being responsible for implementing these within the unit. Other tasks may also occur within the staff department.
